This simple Google Sheet will help track how women+ and impacted audiences are represented in African news stories.

It will record the number of sources quoted, gender breakdown, and whether those quoted are given agency. This means if they speak for themselves, are presented as experts, and are not portrayed solely as victims.

Note: Government ministers, spokespeople, and similar official sources are excluded.
