QW+ Celebrate Voices 24/25 Fellowship Graduation Ceremony

Voices 24/25 Fellows Sign Off With Power

On 10 July, the Voices 24/25 Fellows gathered on Zoom for a closing ceremony marking the end of their six-month journey with QW+.

What followed was a less formal send-off and a more electric handover: a screen full of beaming faces, celebrating what it means to find your voice and use it with impact.

The fellowship supported women+ and other marginalised people to build media confidence, speak out on the issues they care about, and show up as thought leaders and changemakers.

The closing session included:

  • A keynote from Dr Tlaleng Mofokeng on voice, representation, and power
  • Fellow reflections on their advocacy projects and growth
  • A video montage of moments that mattered
  • Final words from QW+ staff and mentors on the impact of these new voices in the media and beyond

Fellow Palesa Manasoe said:

“This fellowship helped me in ways I never expected. I gained confidence I didn’t know I had – especially in public speaking. I never imagined I’d speak in a large space like I did during the live learning circles.”

The graduation may mark the end of the programme, but for these fellows, it’s just the beginning. We can’t wait to hear what they do next – and we’ll be listening.
